Not recommended for air conditioners

After three weeks of use: the remote control does not work properly from the start, even after two battery changes of different brands (purchase new), it works every fifth time even close to offer. The air conditioning was fine for a week and then started making an awful noise in the middle of the night. I had to open it up and check that all the screws are tight. The horrible noise is gone now, but there is a strange spraying noise in it that is higher than normal level. When I turn the fan up

Cools well, isn't quiet

Pros:* Cools well.* Sturdy design, doesn't rattle.* Temperature setting is saved when the air conditioner is off.* Google Home integration works well.Cons:* Quiet. I measured it at a low level with a professional handheld sound level meter at about 6 feet and was about 55 dBA. It's about as loud as a soft conversation (which means you can't have a quiet conversation around it because the air conditioner will drown it out). It's twice as loud as the old 5000 BTU air conditioner I have in my…

1 year warranty. 1 year and 10 days later it was possessed by a demon

This air conditioner worked very well for the first year of ownership. It's not exactly quiet, but it was fine for our bedroom. The blue light is dazzling at night, but you can turn it off with the remote control. The only problem is that the remote doesn't interact with the device, so the last setting on the remote is what the device switches to. Therefore, it is very inconvenient to use the remote control. There is no way to turn off the display on the unit, so you have to use the remote for…

Not quite Friedrich - and took five minutes

It bears her name but inside is almost identical to the Toshiba I have save for the round bulge at the top to house the supercharger. The fan noise seems to be the same (loud) and there is the usual window air conditioner noise from the compressor and flickering water. In my former house I had two Friedrichs that went through the wall. The 8K model can turn a thousand square feet into a meat freezer. The 8K rating for these window units is a joke, they chug and chug and can lower the outside…

Great unit for heating, cooling and air quality

I have tried several Home Depot/Lowes air conditioners over the years and the quality has been terrible. to try something else that would last. I had this device for about a month and it worked very well. As others have said, it's not the quietest device, but it's not the loudest either. Mainly fan noise, I hardly notice it when switching the compressor on and off. Other units I've had (LG, Frigidaire) have always had a horrible rattling or ringing noise, especially on wet days (I think it's an

I bought this unit in March 2020. At first it worked fine. Not as quiet as I was hoping - to be honest it's no quieter than a large 8k BTU device so it's not worth the price. After 2-3 months I would come home or go to the bedroom and find that the device was off. This happened several times and got worse. from the 4th to the 5th month the device started to turn on even in the middle of the night and to work very unstable. I turned it on and it ran what appeared to be initial diagnostics. after

This is a nice air conditioner that certainly cools the room well. But

18:30 UPDATE SIX (6) HOURS LATER ----- The seller/carrier (not Revain) has sent a prepaid call sign to cover the cost of shipping this air conditioner back to them. Thank you, Focus Camera, Inc. of North Brunswick Township, NJ. 10:30 am: At night, when you usually want to relax and go to bed, this new air conditioner was running at low fan speed. was pretty loud. Compared to three other window air conditioners we currently have. But for us, the low fan setting was very noisy at night. It's in…

Small Affordable SEER 12

Small Air Conditioner. It was easier to install than other heavy 8000 BTU AC units. Not the quietest AC, but better than some that don't advertise quiet. Summer is not hot yet, so I can't fully test it yet. The WiFi setup was tricky as the instructions in the manual were wrong. Once you understand that you should be looking at the AC screen and not the remote's LCD screen like the manual says, things become easy. The app is good and gives you full access from home and beyond using your…
