Super Happy Garage & Store Best

I purchased this Grease Tek pistol grip grease gun here on Amazon listed as 'used' for $13.91 with free basic shipping. It arrived two days later in BRAND NEW condition with a new hose and straight pipe. There was no box, but an instruction manual was included. There is a 2 inch scratch on the metal sleeve. I believe it was a customer return but it was never used. I'm lucky enough to find this. The device makes a super durable impression. it is also hard work. It has a self-priming button and…

Decent and durable grease gun for the price.

I put off using this grease gun several times before writing this review. This is a durable metal grease gun. I have used cartridges and filled the chamber by hand and this gun works with no leaks. The only problem I had was that it was always difficult to disengage the grease gun valve from the grease fitting. I have to be very careful when adjusting the valve tension, but most of the time it still gets stuck in the fitting. One day I pulled too hard to loosen the fitting and the spring/ball…

How to get a smooth release from a grease fitting

This is a good one. Many grease gun reviews complain that the end of the coupler will not disengage from the Zerk fitting after lubrication is complete. The coupling terminal has 3 components inside. First, there are small claws that grab the Zerk fitting when you press on it. Next comes the coil spring that presses on the underside of these claws. Further on the other end of the spring is a small bearing. This ball bearing sits in a small hole in the grease hose and stops the flow of grease…

It works but is a bit messy

After a few weeks of use all I can say about this grease gun is that it works. Pop in a tube of lube, pull the trigger a few times, and you're good to go. After the first day of use everything was great. I was impressed, at least until I put it away with my other grease guns, and the next day, unlike any other equally cheap hanging grease gun I've bought over the years, it's squeezing out grease. Thread is everywhere. This is especially true in places where you can't try to glue something…
