A little flimsy but works

Overall. It does the job. It feels cheap and is probably easy enough to break if someone really wants to take it off. This may be a small deterrent, but a determined thief will have no problem with it.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

Broke 3rd time putting gas in

It was only the 3rd fill for that gas cap and the damn thing wouldn't come off. After some research, I found that a flathead screwdriver works great for getting in. So what are we paying for? And why didn't they improve these devices?

Pros
  • Normal price
Cons
  • Approximately

Gas cap I should have bought first

I had several gas caps and they fell apart after 3 fills. This one actually clicks when it locks, it locks right out of the box and won't spin while you're trying to insert the key. It is wear resistant and is the only type I will order from now on. The metallic innards make all the difference.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Didn't unlock on spares

Looks good though. it has not unlocked. Just keep clicking clockwise. counterclockwise. Spent 20 minutes on the pump to unlock it. It won't come off. Drove home and used a flat head screwdriver to pry the key cylinder out and pliers to unscrew it. Removed in 1 minute without a key. So of course I can't return it, but at least I'm not stuck at the pumps anymore.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other parts

Don't waste money!

Worst product I have ever purchased from Revain. It worked for a good two weeks. Then it got a little hard to open, but that's okay. Then last week I was on a car trip, stopped to get gas and it wouldn't come off. The lock with the key turned, but when opening it made a loud click, like tightening the lid. I worked on this thing at a gas station for 30 minutes. Stuck at the train station. Finally grabbed a screwdriver, finally took the cap off, then I had to work and work and rip pieces off to…
