I just lost a critical switch

In January I bought two of these switches to power Axis POE IP cameras from my biggest customer's website. In August, one of them just died, flashing blue. bright. Googled the blinking blue light and found a post suggesting it might look up a DHCP address or pass a self test. Connected to a DHCP server but cannot see it. Simply that way. 8 critical POE cameras are now disabled. Next time I think I'll spend more on Netgear or Cisco.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • I'll write later

Industrial quality for the home

I'm an IT architect and used to designing data centers and this switch brings data center quality to the home. It's much larger than the equivalent 8-port smart switch and has a permanent fan, which also makes it louder. But the web interface is excellent and offers endless customization and security options. Or you can just plug everything in, go through a simple setup process, and let the Switch do the rest. My configuration supports a combination of 100MB and 1GB devices, multiple Power over

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Factor Set

Excellent POE+ Switch - Switches

I use this PoE+ switch to control five PoE+ cameras and one PoE camera. So far it's done its job very well, running LACPx3 elsewhere where I had a NAS, and I've also run RSTP with this switch. The only problem I had with PoE was EEE (Energy Efficient Ethernet). I had a 150 foot (I know too long) CAT7 ethernet cable to control one of the cameras and the camera didn't respond very well. After I disabled EEE on that port, everything worked fine. Be careful with the EEE settings, otherwise it works

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Long time
