I think you really need to start doing this for puppies as early as possible.

I ordered these to reassure my dogs when I need to lock them up. Unfortunately, they seem more nervous when something is vibrating in the cage. I think this is a great idea and I believe it can work for single puppies and those that have recently been separated from their parents. but my dogs are seven and eight years old and it didn't work for them. They seemed to be chasing the box's pillow to destroy anything moving the cage. Maybe that will change as they get older. for now, however…

The drawer cushion is thin but soft; The heart beater didn't work on my cat and is a bit useless

Mark the end of the shoe. Two AAA batteries are included and easy to install. To turn on the Heartbeat device, all I had to do was "press and hold" the power button until it turned on. I can do the same to turn it off. It claims to turn itself off after eight hours, but I didn't let it run that long. I tried this on my cat and it didn't calm him down. Useful pad. - Boxes and Kennels

I was lucky enough to try this device at the perfect time, a stray cat that I feed often brought two newborn kittens into a small shelter I have outside. She is a good cat but she has stray cat habits when away for hours. I have given her a safer home in my kennel where the kittens now sleep. I don't think the kittens are old enough to notice her going away but I gave them this pillow anyway to make them more comfortable. Suitable for very small animals

I ordered a very small cage and it is quite small and smaller than the cage I have. I had to look at the measurements as they are accurate. There is a small pouch with a small heart rate monitor and it comes with batteries. It's not super powerful or anything, but you just hold the button and it makes beats. I haven't run out of batteries yet so I don't know how long they will last but with very small puppies they should not be left out for long. This pad is not too thick, but not too thin…
