Everything is fine, the quality is fine.

I was able to build these small VRs myself as I have electrical and electronic projects like my 4'X5'4kW CNC router, my 13cm and 23cm Built in converters and a cute little portable GPS reference frequency generator, but some small repetitive circuits like these VR modules are nice to have, just plug and play, and as long as the price is decent why not use them. However, I'm beginning to see a lot of greed among sellers with their apparently inflated shipping costs. I don't allow myself to buy…

Lack of quality control.

From the "19" that I received, the first thing I pull out is a board that is connected to another. I notice that the board is missing parts, I then count 19. I'm hoping to find 3 that work

Not a true buck regulator

These are linear regulators, not high power switching buck regulators. The AMS1117-3.3 chip used is linear in nature and dissipates additional energy as heat. In addition, they are pleasantly quiet, there are no ripples at the output.

Great deal for 20 pieces; everything seemed to work fine

Tested all 20 voltage regulators with a proven 5V source and Vout fluctuated between 3.26 and 3.34 volts. Only one part was at 3.34v, with most being just under 3.3v and some being near perfect. I haven't tested how much current they can safely carry without a heatsink, or if they can handle 800mA as stated in the description.
