A must for any welder

Amazing item, very light and comfortable, a leather bib has been added for extra protection. Still lightweight with added leather. I am very satisfied with the welding helmet and the delivery speed was fast, 3 days maximum.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Quality

Must buy welding helmets

This welding helmet is amazing. Why not for beginners? Because sensitivity and response time have to be set. If you don't know how to install it, you will be blinded. I use a lighter to flick it in front of the mask.

Pros
  • Free for training purposes
Cons
  • Newer model could have chosen

Really very good helmet

Helmet works great, instructions are great but easy to understand. Be careful as the helmet is delivered in grinding mode, so be sure to switch it to welding mode before you start welding. It's very light and offers a huge viewing window that can't be beat for the price.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Other Other

Very important! good for PPE

It may not be the best welding mask but more than enough for the hobbyist. The controls work exactly as described and the automatic dimming response is just perfect! Switching off is easy and quick. I wish the tint was a little lighter when it was off, but I can't have it all, at least not for a lot more money. This makes welding fun again after using a flip-up helmet for a long time.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Upgradable

I was satisfied with this helmet the first time I used it

I was satisfied with this helmet the first time I used it. A large viewing window and a comfortable headband are strengths. I have now found that the dimming performance fluctuates during use, making it impossible to use on critical welds. I start a long continuous weld at shade 10 and halfway through it darkens to 13 making it impossible to see. Just not suitable for everyday use

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Looks good on PPE

I'm a professional welder/fabricator currently working in a mill and it seems very comfortable, I like the shape and the level of protection, the colors and graphics have a lot of positives Feedback, I've read reviews that the headgear is flimsy and not great, but I find it very comfortable, easy to adjust, except that it's black plastic instead of gray and not the round plastic Jackson logo on The headgear is on 100% identical to the headgear that came with my Jackson TrueSight, feels wellโ€ฆ

Lightweight and very comfortable

So this is a very good lightweight welding helmet. I used it for MIG welding and it worked great. The lens is large and gives you a very good field of view. I'm just an amateur welder, not a professional, so I have very limited experience with auto-darkening welding helmets. But for my use I am very happy with it. It came disassembled but it was an easy job without even looking at the instructions. The fit is very good, easy to adjust and comfortable. It also came with a nylon storage pouch toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Protection

Good helmet in PPE

OK first. I am NOT a welder. This helmet is NOT a professional welding helmet. It also doesn't come with a professional price tag. I bought this helmet as an upgrade to the one that came with my little Lincoln welder. This is a very good update. Cons: The material of the helmet is a little flimsy and flexes a bit, although I'm not sure if that's a bad thing. Then when assembling the helmet you have to align many parts to the two hinge bolts and hold them while trying to tighten the hinge bolts.

Pros
  • PPE
Cons
  • Write later

Excellent welding hood at a great price

I was concerned about the claims made about this welding hood when I first saw it for $75-$80. I wanted something that would protect my eyes without breaking the bank. I wanted this helmet to have all the features it should have for the price. Fit and Finish - feels sturdy yet pliable. Fine if/when I drop the helmet on the concrete floor. Don't forget to remove the green tinted inner and outer film from the lens when you receive it by removing the lens assembly itself. The coloring and designโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Head protection
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

For a layman a great helmet at a great price

Firstly I am far from a professional welder. Now that I've never been paid for welding before, that pretty much guarantees I'm not a professional welder, but I like to pretend I am a professional welder. I have a small 140 amp Lincoln MIG welder that I've been playing around with in the garage and recently the auto-darkening helmet I bought from Harbor Freight a few years ago started to fail. It would have been a lot darker than it should have been, to the point where I could barely see, andโ€ฆ
