I definitely avoid this product. This went on for about a month, then the screws broke out of the handle and bent the locking mechanism that attaches to the handle. This poses a major hazard from sharp metal parts and protruding screw ends, especially when children and animals are around.

I love having a distinctive wooden handle to grab hold of to open the door from the inside. This is such a radical improvement! I love this part! However, when you put your fingers on the handle to open the door, the outside finger grip is rather flat! It's harder to open from the outside than before. So now I have a lighter grip on the inside but a harder grip on the outside.

I measured and it was the right lock for my door. However, it took a lot of effort to get the desired result. The key part of the lock doesn't seem particularly secure. It's much better than the lock he replaced. The inner handle is very nice, large and comfortable to grip, keeping little fingers off the glass. I'm sure a locksmith could install the lock in minutes, but I'm stubborn enough to do it myself. Yes, I would buy it again and probably will.

This type of glass door lock is hard to find in DIY stores. I ordered this unit after purchasing a "Universal" lock from Lowe's. (It wasn't really universal.)
