This device is very user friendly, I have used quite a few different bi-directional scanners over the years and this one is probably the quickest to set up and get updates. Very intuitive menu that is easy to navigate and the touchscreen is very responsive. I didn't unlock specific brands, but even without that it got a lot of data from a 2012 Dodge Charger and a 2001 Honda Civic. I would highly recommend this as a budget bi-directional scan tool.

So far I like this mucar scanner. It took about 15 minutes to activate the device, set it up, register it and start the updates. Updates are free for the lifetime of the scanner. The diagnostic dongle that plugs into the OBD-II port is wireless and connects to the scanner via Bluetooth.
