I sprayed it with poly first to make sure it wouldn't rust and actually looked better than the original, just make sure you have clear poly. At least 2 layers in front and one in back. Easy installation. Remove the push pins holding the top of the Jeep's grille in place, gently pull the top of the grille forward slightly and loosen the tabs holding the bottom of the driver's side grille (I attached the other side calmly). Place the grill insert behind the Jeep grill and reassemble. You will need to wiggle the insert a little to ensure it is fully seated and the notch provided is in the correct place. I am very happy with this product, it looks good and seems to be of good quality. I was a bit unsure about the installation but literally posted a video on youtube to get an idea before trying it out. It's so easy, literally my 5 year old could do it.
