FITMENT - The EAG Tire Extension Relocate Bracket is designed to fit 1976-2018 Wrangler CJ / YJ / TJ / JK models. It will not work with the rear backup camera of JL models. Not recommended for use with tires larger than 35 inches. FUNCTIONALITY - The EAG Spare Tire Extension Bracket extends the wheel mounting point away from the vehicle, providing extra space to carry up to 35 inch tires. This spare tire bracket also increases the space between the bumper and the bottom of the tire. ENHANCED DESIGN - This Wrangler JK, TJ & YJ & CJ spare tire bracket features multiple bolt placement options to ensure proper fitment for most standard bolt patterns found on Wranglers. CONSTRUCTION - Heavy duty welded steel construction. Gussets for improved strength and durability. INSTALLATION - No drilling or modification to your Wrangler is required for installation of this heavy duty spare tire extension mounting bracket.

Great product in spare wheel mounts

Installs easily and feels very solid. Gave the right amount of clearance without lifting the tire too much. Works great on 1993 YJ.

Great adapter - exterior accessory

This bracket was perfect for adapting my JK rim to my Yj rear bumper. It also worked by lengthening my tire holder a few inches to accommodate the larger tire. The installation was a bit fiddly, since there was enough space for fastening material. But once installed it worked great and was very durable.

Not bad for a quick fix.

Very simple, strong metal, ugly, but does what you buy. First: you must have your own nuts to attach it to the existing bracket. You cannot use nuts as they are too tight to fit your fingers between this metal bracket. Second, my rims are 4.5" apart and the tires are 35" x 12.5" wide. When installed, the tire was about 1 inch from the rubber bumpers that were mounted on the tailgate.

Heavy duty but lowers the tire

This is a great addition for heavy duty applications. However, pay attention to the picture. The bolts actually lower the tire slightly to bring it closer to the bumper. If you just need to stretch the hoop then this is perfect. If, like most of us, you mount big tires, you're not going to clean your bumper if you have to lift it at all. Installing this mount will drop your tire about half an inch.

Necessary upgrade if you have big tires BUT.

Oh well. This is probably just a temporary fix as my tire is pretty heavy for OEM jeep pivots. I can safely say that this will likely become an issue over time. The tailgate closes and opens well, but it's a lot heavier, as I said, that's because of my tires. I use Nitto Trail Grapplers 35 x 12.5 x 17 and this thing weighs ONLY 80 pounds, add a wheel that will probably hold 100 pounds on these hinges. How can you do that, it barely detaches the tire from the original bumper but doesn't touch…

You need to buy washers and regular nuts to attach the extension to the original bracket.

Appears to be well built with a solid finish. I didn't give 5 stars because the spare tire had a rattling noise after it was secured. After putting it on and off a few times, I finally decided to put the flat edge on my back, only to find that it was warped and not flat. Another reason for the rattling was that it comes with nuts to attach it to the original bracket. These nuts go into a slot that doesn't properly secure them.
