The best thing Ive ever used, a great item for everyone!

One of the best 35mm lenses I have used. The problem with many 35mm lenses is distortion that distorts the geometry of faces, people and objects, it is corrected here. Distortion 0.39%. For example, Carl Zeiss 35 / 2.8 has a distortion of about 1.84%, that is, faces and object geometry are 5 times more distorted. I tried before this different 35mm: 1. Zeiss 35 / 2.8 is very mediocre and curved, but light and cheap on the used market, distortion 1.84% 2. Sigma 35 / 1.4 art, heavy 650 grams…

    Pros
    • Lens 2022, distortion 0.39% without distortion of faces and geometry (the best figure among all 35mm lenses), weight 280 grams, resolution 72 lines / mm, for example, the analog Sigma Art 35 / 1.4 has only 47 lines / mm.
    Cons
    • Not found

Impressions from the lens are extremely positive. Took it at the same time as switching to a full frame for indoor shooting. Previously, on a crop, I had the equivalent of a 50mm main lens (sony 35 1.8 for aps-c). But in a confined space, sometimes with 50mm it was hard because. sometimes there is not enough space to make the desired composition. In terms of design, I really like its compact size and light weight (280 grams). This focal length has many options from different manufacturers…

    Pros
    • Compactness, weight, sharpness, focusing speed
    Cons
    • Vignetting, there are chromatic aberrations at full aperture

    Great lens for enthusiasts

This is a great little lens I bought for my Sony A7 Mark 3 full frame camera. It takes really sharp photos. It feels well built, it's lightweight, it focuses well in low light, it doesn't wobble around focus and it has a very sharp aperture. This is a good budget buy for this system and for me as an amateur photographer.

    works perfectly! Great lens.

I like this lens. and f1.8 is great. I would just like to get f1.4 as 1.8 just isn't enough for me in most of our rooms in my house (we have a dark house). So I just have to use it indoors all the time in 1.8. So if you mainly shoot in well-lit places, this lens is great. in low light it is normal.

The best lens for the money. Very sharp and light

If you don't buy the Sony 35mm f/1.4 GM save some money and buy this if you don't really need an f/14. It's very light but looks well built, it focuses really well and fast and it's very sharp, especially at 2.8 it gets as sharp as it gets. I bought it on sale for $300 and boy is it worth it?

You get what you pay for.

An excellent compact lens for street photography and probably the best budget full frame 35mm lens for Sony and the autofocus system is quite tight. But he has his weaknesses. Very strong distortion without Adobe's correction support. So be prepared if you're obsessing over straight lines because you'll have to work hard to get them. chromatic aberration is not a problem if you are used to shooting on inexpensive glass.

    Pros
    • Looks good
    Cons
    • There are some nuances

Mediocre AF. Also: Autofocus is quiet, but definitely not quiet

Autofocus is unstable. I had the latest lens firmware and A7c. AF is sluggish or inaccurate. On two copies of this lens. I found it boring, but after some serious troubleshooting, it often gets a little fuzzy. Autofocus, while silent, is audible and picked up by the camera's built-in microphone. Definitely not quiet. If you want top-of-the-line, absolutely silent autofocus and don't want to worry about sharpness, get the Sony 35.

A killer lens for the price

excellent lens for the price, it's small, light and fast! I knew the lens material and it's surprisingly good for the price. No issues with accuracy or autofocus speed, glare is controlled very well. I would like to be closer. focus, but that's just my wish list. The only negative thing I noticed was a small color fringing on the bright edges of the light, which can be easily corrected. I use a great 35mm f/1.4 (not Rokinon/Samyang) for all serious work, bought it for light adjustment and…

    • no mold required

Grab it sharp. Excellent build. Excellent price.

I needed a sharp 35mm lens to take stills and video. After watching videos on YT I decided this was the way to go (compared to the more expensive Sony). And it doesn't disappoint. Feels like a quality construction. I love the small size. And the images are very sharp and the shallow depth of field is excellent. So far I've mainly used it for videos and haven't had any autofocus issues. This lens is very affordable and fully meets my needs and expectations. Highly recommended. Revain wants me to

Can the Rokinon 35mm f1.8 lens compete with Sony at half the price?

In over 30 years as a well known professional I have never wanted to use any lens other than Nikon, Canon or Sony. Until now. New third-party lens designs are beginning to match, and sometimes even surpass, established names. Of the dozen or more Sony FE mount lenses I own, my first non-Sony lenses were the Tamron 70-180mm f2.8 and Sigma 105mm f2.8 macro. Both have clear advantages over their Sony-branded counterparts. As a handy outdoor lens, I'm very happy with my Sony 35mm f1.8. So why did I

The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

I was looking for a fix with a universal focal length and I found it! The picture is gorgeous, soft bokeh, minimal distortion, no viewing angle, I didn’t notice a drop in sharpness at the edges, but it may be possible to see it on cameras with higher resolution, on the a7m3 itself. Autofocus is on top, accurate tracking, in tests the video has not yet flown, when refocusing, sooooo rare misses. In general, I'm waiting for the lens to be tested in combat conditions)

    Pros
    • Focus speed, dimensions, weight, pleasant to the touch
    Cons
    • It rarely happens, but I haven't found it yet.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

A high-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

Before buying compared with Sigma 35mm F1.4 art. Sigma turned out to be twice as heavy. Probably due to luminosity. Aperture is not the main characteristic for me when choosing a lens. The 5-axis stub and high working iso values in my a7m3 replace my aperture in the dark. Aperture open to 1.4 is practically not used in most scenes. I did not sacrifice weight and dimensions because of this. A fully open aperture is not always working in practice. At 35mm from Sony, you can already work at 1.8.

    Pros
    • Modern, light, fast lens with good sharpness. Focuses quickly and silently. There is a programmable button on the lens body,
    Cons
    • Any 35ka is boring bokeh. The lens is no exception. When you shake the lens in your hands, the lens block rattles inside.
