Jeep Patriot 2014 Sauce Install

1/6 Autozone Price Ridiculously Easy Install. A flat head screwdriver, 8mm and 10mm socket is all you need. We recommend that you remove the negative battery terminal and turn off the check engine light for safety reasons. Driven for more than a week, no problems, fuel consumption back to the factory.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Fits

Great fuel injection product

Perfect replacement for the original part, my girlfriend and I installed this (along with a new air filter) on her jeep in less than two hours. Your Patriot started right up and ran like a champ, after about fifteen miles the check engine light went out (we removed the battery to make the installation easier), after a few hundred miles, very happy.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Good but not great

Great for the price. Why buy OEM so it won't work again?

I decided to try this because the OEM costs a lot of money and they obviously have problems so I don't want to spend that much just for the same thing to happen. Most of the time an OEM throttle body will have plastic gears inside that will lose teeth and wear out causing them to fail, which is exactly what happened to mine (photo attached). I installed this throttle body in about an hour using basic hand tools and took my time. So far, so good.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Fixed my 'red flash' in my Dodge Avenger

I have a 2013 Dodge Avenger with a 2.4 liter engine. Sometimes I would lose power and a red flash would appear on my dashboard. I've also noticed that it shifts hard, but thought I might have a separate problem with the gearbox. After watching a YouTube video I realized it was my throttle body. I bought it and replaced it half an hour after opening the hood. My car runs like clockwork and the harsh shifting was due to a loss of power resulting from a throttle body failure. Many thanks!

  • Decent performance

Works great with replacement parts

After much research on which product to buy and what to do after installation I settled on this part. The part worked great and was easy to install on my daughter's 2016 Jeep. All I had to do was remove the intake pipe and hold the upper radiator hose with an elastic cord to get to the throttle body. After assembly there was no need to reprogram or flash the computer, everything worked and works perfectly. I recommend any time you are working on a car with a computer, the first step is to…

Fixed the main problem (red flash)

Still functional 5 months later. Found to be the solution to the 'Red Lightning' icon. This should be the most important part because turning on this indicator, which also turns on all the other lights on the dash and makes your car stop, is pretty annoying while driving. So that would be a good first guess when running into problems like this, they originally tried replacing the entire fuse box, maybe because all the bulbs lit up too? Someone else installed it on a Jeep Patriot so I can't…

I received a faulty part

I bought this part for my 2013 Dodge Avenger. I was very happy with the price as it was over half the price of the local parts store. The part was installed after receiving it over the weekend and worked flawlessly for a few days. Maybe the first week. My car has been in the garage ever since. The mechanic who worked on my car first ruled out a problem with the throttle body because it was brand new and had just been replaced. He thought the problem might be a sensor in the pedal and replaced…

Great price and did the job.

My 2010 Caliber was starting to perform very poorly and after some research I found that I needed to replace the throttle body. I found this one and it looks just like the one on my car and it came with a gasket. The fit and finish was really good and I had no trouble fitting them to my car. It took maybe 30 minutes and I just removed the battery and the hose coming from the airbox that connected to the part. After buttoning it up, my car started and ran great. The dashboard error display was…

Exactly what I needed!

I had a terrible "dead pedal" on my 2014 Jeep Patriot. After the dealer diagnosed the problem, they charged an outrageous price to replace the little guy. After watching a few YouTube videos and becoming familiar with the tools, I decided to do it myself. The installation process took a little while, but that's especially true on Jeep since the engine bay is so damn clogged. But that fixed my problem. My check engine light went out, I had no more pedal stall etc. This is the best value throttle

Pros
  • Replacement Electronic Throttle Body - Controls the amount of air entering the engine to mix fuel and air in the engine. If the engine stalls, won't start, the electronic throttle warning light comes on, you experience erratic power or spikes when you accelerate your vehicle, there may be a problem with your vehicle's throttle body.

Easy job on Jeep Compass

(Jeep Compass 2016) If you can do simple bolt on and off projects you won't have a problem with this. This is our only car so I drove slowly and it still only took 45 minutes. .For starters I found it easier to remove the battery which only takes 2-3 minutes. If you have big hands or are half blind (both of me) remove the battery. After removing the throttle body hose, use a zip tie to move the radiator hose out of the way. The two most troublesome parts are the sensor on the throttle body and…
