Great device, no problems, switches devices clearly!

I bought this device to share my Yeti mic, my Soundblaster external sound card (for Dolby Digital Live optical output) and my Logitech X Pro wireless headset with 4 different PCs. I share this with 3 desktops and a laptop. I've had it for almost a month and it works perfectly. My only feedback would be having a keyboard control to switch devices. This would make it the perfect switch.

Pros
  • EASY INSTALLATION: This USB switch is easy to install - just connect a mouse, keyboard, flash drives or scanner, then share those devices with up to four computers (driverless install)

Almost perfect for external components

I bought this switch after encountering reliability issues with my previous switch and BRIO 4K camera. All 4 peripherals work fine and I now have two additional host ports that I didn't have before if I want to connect more to them. switching speed too low. It wouldn't be a big deal other than you have to switch between all host sockets and it takes a bit each time you switch. I only have 2 computers connected, but I have to switch between all 4 host sockets before switching between them, which

Does not work as advertised

Tried it twice - sharing keyboard and mouse between MacBook, Windows 10 Tower and Raspberry Pi. MacBook worked fine. When I switched to Windows, I had to disable the keyboard every time for it to be recognized. The RPi did not recognize the mouse or keyboard. I plugged it into power so I know it's not a problem. Pretty much a complete failure compared to the U Green 2 port switch I have which worked perfectly between Windows and Mac.

Nearly perfect. Best in Computers & Accessories

This USB is the best I've found after trying at least 5 other brands. All others were garbage or fire hazards. One literally melted me because it didn't have reverse current protection. The only thing that could improve this switch is the power button. Just because one of the devices I connected it to is a Microsoft Surface Dock, which still outputs USB power to whatever is connected to the Switch even when the PC is off. Since the dock cannot be configured so that it doesn't, the only way toโ€ฆ

Insufficient Power - KVM Switches

This is one of the few KVM hubs that supports USB 3.1. I used it to switch my USB mic and webcam between two devices. I wanted this to work with my keyboard too. While it sometimes worked when I switched between devices, most of the time I got an error message that the device wasn't getting enough, resulting in one of the devices I had plugged into the hub not getting power. This happened even though I connected the power adapter directly to the hub. Aside from not being able to power all theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • USB POWER: USB 3.1 switch is USB powered - no external power supply required.
Cons
  • Expensive

The real deal with the best external components

I am sharing two monitors via a docking station with 3 personal computers It worked flawlessly right out of the box. Setup: Laptop 1 - TrendNet - docking station - two monitors (connects to the display), keyboard, mouse. Notebook 2 - TrendNet - docking station - two monitors (connection to the display), keyboard, mouse. - TrendNet - docking station - two monitors (Display-Link), keyboard, mouse (Lappy 3 needs additional resources. It only has a USA 3.x connector. I could probably use a USB hub,

  • BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY: The 4-port USB 3.1 sharing switch is backward compatible with USB 3.0, 2.0 and 1.1 devices
