Ease of use: Document scanner

I've only been using it for a few days, but I can say that it's easy to use. The instructions couldn't be much clearer. The first day of using I only made two mistakes and he told me when I made them. I bought it mainly to copy photos from family albums and found myself using it for new paper items, newspaper cartoons, magazine articles, scans of pictures and words from books. It's so simple that even my teenager can use it flawlessly. I really think the second set of cutscenes makes a…

Wolverine PASS200 Handheld Scanner

This is a good handheld scanner, but it didn't work as well as I had hoped. It worked great for scanning individual 8 1/2 x 11 documents lying flat and would probably be fine for scanning portions of pages. Scanning full pages from books - which is what I intended to use it for - didn't produce such good results. I scanned as recommended in the manual but got blurry results about 40% of the time. The device was set to low-resolution black and white scanning. I don't think it was because I was…

I am very glad that I bought this scanner.

I lost my old desktop scanner because it became incompatible after buying a new computer. I needed one for a project where I needed to scan forms, text documents, and lab reports and combine them all into one PDF for emailing. Bought this scanner after reading the reviews and because it has two wheels. I used it the first day I got it, got it straight away and scanned 36 pages with no problems and it was fun and easy to use. It is not possible to download free OCR software that has been…

Good for basic scanning / not so good for book cutting.

There are many ways to scan content. I use Fujitsu's ScanSnap scanner most often, followed by an Android app called Cam Scanner, and then this scanner. The scan image works on anything that lies flat or has been flat at some point in its life. But despite its small size, it is not portable enough as it needs an adapter etc. The Cam Scanner app uses the phone's camera and works well, but not great. This scanner offers good scan quality, especially for flat objects. I use it most often to capture

Simple but effective

After years of battling software conflicts between my computer and various flatbed scanners in all price ranges, I've enjoyed working with this cheap handheld scanner. I've gotten used to the fact that every time I needed a copy of something, I had to get my tablets to produce at least one page of material, at least without rebooting the system. Wolverine skips the computer entirely until I'm ready to work with scanned JPG images. I then just plug it in with the included USB cable and find that

Great scanner but needs trimming

PROS - Light weight - Smooth scanning - Excellent images. There are other scanners with the same performance at a lower price, but the PASS200 won me over because it has two rollers that allow for smooth scanning on a variety of surfaces. I haven't had a single slide or document gap, and I haven't had a bad scan from an imperfect surface. This isn't critical for those scanning things on their dinner table, but for those working in the field, the two-reel setup is a godsend. I bought this…
