I knew it would happen.

Most routers and router/modem combos I've bought have one thing in common: the 5 GHz connection is either unstable or stops working after a while; However, I didn't have a single crash that quickly. Got this modem and router combo, plugged everything in, logged into my Xfinity account and everything is fine. After the second week I noticed that the 5GHz channel does not appear in the WiFi lists. Okay, I'll just turn it off, right? In the 3rd week the 5GHz channel disappeared completely. Iโ€ฆ

The choice is reborn, and so is mine!

Oh my god! no matter! The technician came to the house and couldn't find any problems with the line, told me my 7 month old router was junk, I didn't believe it but had no other options so I looked for a dual band router and that was it The choice again. Same day delivery and BAM! I went through the setup with my ISP and went from 15-20Mbps in 10 minutes with constant drops and crashes to a 200Mbps 5G wireless connection throughout the house with no issues for the past 72 hours. So impressedโ€ฆ

Easy to install! I could do it myself and save another $60.

I ordered this modem before I installed the Comcast/Xfinity cable and connected to the internet. I wanted to save money on my monthly cable TV bill since they charge $10 a month to rent their modem (and I wanted to know what I was getting). I chose this modem based on the reviews and I think it was a good choice. I paid Comcast an extra $60 for a professional installation, but after seeing how easy it was for them, I realized I could have saved that $60 and bought a new pair of shoes insteadโ€ฆ

Quality product with 4 LAN ports

This is the second MG7315 I have bought and they work great. Firstly, this model is compatible with all major cable companies, and secondly, it has 4 network ports on the back for connection. You need them so that you can connect your wireless TV, then the signal will be delivered to the TV immediately without buffering, and you will also relieve your WLAN with it. ALSO connect your Roku box to one of the LAN ports. You should be aware that this modem only has a single 2.4GHz WiFi network, notโ€ฆ

WLAN router severely impaired after 2.5 months

Normally I try to avoid combinations of modem and WLAN router. I made an exception of only one device based on the reviews and ease of use and after 2.5 months the WiFi signal on the router has degraded to the point that I will be returning the device. Luckily I got protection. plan as the signal deteriorated 20 days after the return period. I live in an apartment and when I bought the modem/router the speed was between 140-150Mbps on 5GHz and 40-50Mbps on 2.4GHz with a 200Mbps connection. This

DO NOT BUY! fits combos modem router

I could say some positive things about it and write a pros and cons review but the cons are fatal and if you are reading this review you will be glad i'm not hemming and how about that. The modem has 3 major disadvantages, one of which, perhaps, can be eliminated with inconvenience, two of which cannot be eliminated. 1) It is poorly isolated and overly sensitive to interference from other nearby Wi-Fi devices. It MAY reset itself (or fail to restart) periodically (i.e. every few minutes) if you
