Couldn't be happier!

This shiny little amp was just what the doctor ordered for great signal around the house while still leaving room for expansion in the garage and/or patio for when I wanted to travel later. Moved into a house where the previous owner who built it ran crappy coax (RG59) cable everywhere with oversized splitters that left a minimum of -3dB every time. This ruined the signal overhead and broke the cable modem's -15 dB limit. With this amp, some cable cleaning and splitter replacement I got the…

Country house with cable: take it!

If you want to get it right with minimal signal loss, this is the way to go. Professional quality equipment for high throughput. In the country we have 60 MB/s. I wanted the entire house to be powered by the TimeWarner feed, both digitally and over the web. I didn't want to mess around. It does the job well. Just make sure your home uses quality cords and plugs, mend unused cords, and invest in good appliances. The system is only as weak as its weakest link. It's not going to happen. We also…

140+ Free HD Channels

See attached photo. A scan of my TV channel showing the channels found when scanning the signal in Orange County, California. My setup: (2) flat square mohu sheet with no gain, (1) splitter to connect (2) antenna to (1) output, (1) Motorolla signal booster splitter and necessary coax cable. For better reception I placed (2) Mohu leaves in different places in the room. (2) Mohu sheets into a simple dual antenna splitter, converted into one output, a coaxial from Mohus splitter to Motorolla…

The connection only took a few minutes and works great.

Works great. I thought I would wait 6 months before writing a review. After unplugging the cable, I installed a ClearStream 2V HDTV antenna on the roof and connected it to the house's existing cable (3 bedrooms + living room), but the signal was weak in all rooms (except the master bedroom, which was not was divided). parts). ) I decided to try the signal booster. In the attic was a 6-port cable splitter (it's in South Texas, so we'll see if it holds up in the summer) that happened to be next…

Great investment

Before I installed this device, cable reception was unstable. It was good, don't get me wrong. But every half hour or an hour or so, I would have some artifacts appear on the screen, and sometimes the image would disappear for a second or two and then reappear. I only have two TVs and a cable modem connected to a three-way splitter. installed by the cable company. After installing this block, no artifacts, no black screens. The perfect picture. I couldn't be happier. My wife is happy too…

Works when you need it!

I bought this splitter/amplifier a few years ago to support the TV signal in my house. I didn't have a diagnostic tool to check if it got better or not. I also bought it before I switched to a digital receiver (analog Comcast TV back then) and left it in place. Then I upgraded to FIOS 2 years ago. The tech who installed the FIOS said I don't need it because the fiber goes to my house, so the coax signal must be very strong as it's being generated by a device that's on the outside wall of my…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • I have a problem

We're a Comcast customer and we're spending a heck of a lot on HDTV and other upgrades. But we ran into annoying issues: it would pixelate, stutter, or even freeze for a few seconds during our favorite shows. We'd have to end up watching regular non-HD channels (if possible). Unable to download movies on demand, they kept crashing or doing the same thing. And DVR-recorded shows did, and in some cases DVR recordings seemed to disappear (but we figured out how to make them "flash" by starting…

Boost HDTV antenna in audio and video accessories

Replaced cable and satellite with TV antenna in the attic. I've tried using a non-powered splitter on the cable that runs through the antenna from the cable junction box to the new Panasonic 50 inch Plasma HD TV in the living room and back to the junction box, but that didn't work. I have Mount Kennesaw between me and the Atlanta transmitters, so I first added a Motorola BDA single channel amplifier between the antenna and the first splitter, but the 15dB increase was still 3.5dB (or 7dB, I…

solved my problem in Audio and Video Accessories

Basically I wanted to see if I could amplify the signal to solve the downstream splitter problem. I wasn't able to get the 2 TVs to work with their own splitter, although they worked fine before. As a result, I only had to connect one TV and switch if I wanted to use another TV (in the kitchen and in the basement). I hooked up this new splitter in front of my house right where the cable line enters the house. The cable company split it up into a 4-way splitter that serves 4 outlets in the…

First check the SIGNAL STRENGTH

I have a cable in my house that was installed by Comcast. For at least a year I was able to use a cheap 2-way passive splitter and watch both TVs. via TiVo Premiere and 25Mbps internet access (nice). But recently, for unknown reasons, the internet signal became too weak to go online. TiVo continued to work as it doesn't seem to need such a strong signal. If I removed the splitter and plugged the cable directly into my cable modem, the internet would work. But I also want to watch TV! Every call
