Ethereum is a decentralized platform that can be used for money and all kinds of applications. Ether (ETH) is the main currency of the platform.
The most prominent feature of Ethereum is that it has smart contract functionality. The platform was created when it was only 20 years old, with Russian developer Vitalik Buterin and several other co-founders. Ether, the digital currency of the platform, which started operating on July 30, 2015, comes second after Bitcoin with a market value of $ 24 billion as of February 10, 2020.
