Now I can use this cap on multiple parts on the lathe. I hooked it up to a Powertec wall mounted dust extractor. I also bought a Powertec 4" clear flex hose that fits perfectly into the outlet (I was concerned about the fit as some comments were unable to find a proper fit but it worked for me) . Since filming tends to throw shavings and dust everywhere, I wasn't expecting a 100% solution. But it seems to handle almost all fine dust and large amounts of chips well, and I'm more concerned about fine dust anyway. me when the mouth is facing down (the opposite side of the machine at about a 45 degree angle, as close to the part as possible without losing sight of the area you are working on). I thought about buying the hood that came with the mount, but noticed that it only adjusts horizontally, which limits the hood to being mounted only behind the lathe, not at an angle above it. It wouldn't be that hard to make a more adjustable, multi-angle mount myself, but if PSI already had one I'd buy it rather than make it.
