Review on πŸ”ͺ A Cut Above: Morakniv Classic 1891 Paring Knife, 3.3 Inch by Danelle Gilson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great knife but not very useful Paring knife

The handle looks like a classic Morakniv but is a bit thinner but still too big for my XL hands. I'm used to peeling the paring knife at the knuckle and sticking the fruit/veg on my thumb, which is impossible with the size of this handle. The handle doesn't indicate which side of the knife is sharpened, and the blade itself doesn't differentiate much between a sharp edge and a butt, and from time to time I try to cut something with the dull side. The blade is too wide for more difficult work or grilled vegetables. It looks and feels good, but after you get a little olive oil on your hands it gets slippery. I have over 10 Mohr knives and have abused one of them for 35 years. So I keep it in my knife holder and try to find a use for it from time to time.
