The startup speed is far from 6.6ft/s (4.5 mph). I found the startup is more at 8 mph sustained wind. I also tested the output at the startup speed and the device is only producing 1.2 vdc and only capable of producing 1.1 amps. The total watts at startup are 1.32. The specifications state 30 watts at startup wind speed. I have not had enough wind as of yet to test the output at higher speeds. I only purchased this one because of the "low startup" speed and the higher output at the lower speeds. Obviously I made the wrong purchase. The quality of the paint job on the housing is poor at best, there are 3 different shades of white and corrosion bubbles under it.
