Contrary to what other reviewers say, they snap in and hold up well. It's not particularly strong metal, so all you have to do is pry off the top before putting it on the shelf. They snap into place with a reassuring click and won't fall off. I have two wire shelves in my kitchen and they are great for storing utensils and tools. Defects. The picture shows that they have a wide profile. As a result, they won't hold objects with small holes. I have an All-Clad Pro cookware set and it works great. However, they just don't work for many other utensils. As you can see from the picture these are not heavy duty hooks either. Think about what you will attach to them. Your Dutch Oven will likely deform the hook over time. I wish they would come out with some that have a narrower profile for my smaller hole devices, but I knew what I was getting when I ordered them and they do a wonderful job.
