I have a 2001 Honda Civic. Like many others who have ordered this part, my check engine light came on and after reading the OBD (code P1456, for those who are wondering) and doing some Googling, I found out that the problem might be related to a faulty gas cap. among other things. The gas cap on the car was original, so she's old enough to finish high school. I commend him for sticking it out for so long. While I had some objections to how expensive this OEM cap was compared to other third party brands, I thought it was cheaper than any other repair I had on my car and was a good starting point to try and fix this trouble code . Put on a new gas cap and after about three days of driving the light went out! Shortly thereafter, I also passed the emissions test and my car passed it with no problems. Highly recommended!
