Review on MICHELIN X-Ice North 4 205/55 R16 94T winter by Franciszka Lewandows ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One of the best deals, glad I bought this.

The nature of driving this "hypershipping" is unusual for me - there is no feeling that the car "holds on to the road" with its claws, as it was on Hakka (both 5th and 7th) and at the same time there is no fear that you will not have time to stop or you will fall into an uncontrollable skid. There is confidence, at the level of reflexes, that the rubber will hold on always and everywhere. In relatively deep snow, the xin4 rows just as well as the 7th Hakka. On ice — more confidently, I previously went. There are probably better ones out there, but I haven't had a chance to ride them. On the slush on the pavement — just a fire provokes a "summer" ride. In general, it behaves somehow interestingly on snow porridge - it slows down very well even without the participation of spikes, you can hear it, and if you press the pedal down even more, it starts to bite into the asphalt with spikes and the intensity of deceleration increases even more significantly, it rises as if rooted to the spot. On snowy porridge, small-sized spikes give an interesting effect - during heavy braking, they are not activated immediately, but almost simultaneously with ABS. It's like they were designed specifically for it. Unusual character, but I like it! At one time, I experienced somewhat similar sensations, reseeding from gasoline to diesel. At first, the “tractor” character was unusual, but I very quickly realized that I didn’t want to return to gasoline anymore and I’m unlikely to want to in the future.

Pros
  • Soft, moderately noisy, and the noise has an unusual timbre, less annoying than usual. In terms of road grip, in general, it’s definitely not worse than the 7th hakkapelita. On ice and slush, it's definitely better. Gradually, in the process of driving, at the level of reflexes, confidence is developed that the rubber will definitely not let you down if you drive within reason.
Cons
  • At first, there is a feeling that the rubber "floats" a little. The nature of the rubber ride on it is somewhat unusual at first.
