Setting the depth exactly where you want it is a bit of a chore, but after that it seems to work great. I ended up turning the countersink by hand to cut a test hole to the correct depth, then installed the countersink into the hole and tightened the set screws when everything was in place. Until it slips and cuts holes to the same depth as it should.
