Review on OTC 6274 Tie Adjusting Tool by Edwin Kreps

Revainrating 5 out of 5

or worse; Pipe wrench

This tool is essential. Since tie rod adjusters are usually rusty, you need a tool like this to apply the torque properly so you can adjust them. Another thing about this tool is that it also tends to "chip" the collar as you twist it, ridding it of rust that is usually plentiful. Use the usual "arc-joint pliers routine" or worse; adjustable wrench, will seem like bad memories. Just remember to apply the penetrant before using this tool as you would any other process. OTC tools are of high quality and the purchase price is usually refunded on first use. I let my friends do their own calculations. As a good work practice, I only ever replace the terminal screws with new ones marked "OEM".
