Start-up Chile is a business accelerator whose primary assignment is to publicize Chile by helping any start ups that want to use Chile as a platform for global recognition.
Chile startup has a large portfolio that supports over 160 startups each year. So because of this, they had to create 2 programs to help the development of startups. These programs are TSF; which is a pre acceleration for startups with female founders and Seed a program for startups with less than 3 years development age.
I love the fact that Startup Chile developed 2 programs that's suitable for the different reasons it was created for. But I want to question the first program which is for female founders. In this age when gender equality is preached everyday, I feel that creating a separate program for females might have a negative outlook even though the reason behind it might be genuinely good. Although from a positive outlook, it shows how much and how far they're willing to go to empower women.
The other program for Startups with less than 3 years of development also classifies and make it easier for the accelerator program to target very young and newly developed businesses that haven't gotten used to nor gained the experience for growing their businesses successfully.
I also applaud the fact that this accelerator company is of South American origin and that will definitely be of help in the creation of more job opportunities, actualization of innovative ideas and raising more successful industries that will make a global impact.
Startup Chile help startups through training and mentorships from successful investors and financial aid through investments. It has global partnerships that will easily give any startups they support international affiliations. Since this accelerator available for anyone from anywhere in the world, it provides working Visa and a soft landing to make it easier for their applicants.
