Review on 🌈 ERYONE 1.75mm Rainbow Filament for Printers by Eric Temple

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A very impressive metallic iridescent silk PLA with some caveats.

In summary this is a very nice silky iridescent PLA coverall. However, there are reasons to lower the rating by one star and I will explain them below. I'll start by listing the things I liked about this thread: - Excellent winding. That's not always the case with Filament (even with Eryone), but this reel wound well - both in terms of tension and accuracy. - Printing was easy with this filament. I used 208 degrees (230 first layer) and it printed exceptionally well (no bad prints). This seems to be the best point for most of Eryone's PLA silk options. The diameter consistency was excellent. I use Capricorn pure PTFE tubing and this threading has not caused any tight tolerance issues on this product. Okay, moving on to some of the things that led to the reduction in sprockets: This yarn was exceptionally "stretchy" compared to other Eryones. the filaments I used on this printer (with the same retraction and temperature settings). I ran a few calibration prints to reduce the voltage but to no avail. It's quite bearable, but it's also noticeably more prone to tension. The colors weren't that "rainbowy". Erione really has to pay attention to that. The color palette was indeed limited to auburn and green (and their derivatives). There was a nice bruise, but it was too small and only appeared once on the whole spool. More colors and faster changes would be very welcome and more in line with other options on the market. Again, this is a great PLA filament overall. Improved quality control for color change and periodicity would have earned this rating five stars.
