Review on 🏎️ High Performance K&N Cold Air Intake Kit for 2007-2011 Mini Cooper & Mini Cooper Clubman: Guaranteed Power Boost for 1.6L L4 Engine - 69-2005TTK by Benjamin Robinson

So I installed this about a month ago. Installation wasn't that bad, took about an hour or so, maybe less. After installing it, I noticed a slight improvement in throttle but no noticeable increase in MPG. This gave the Mini a deeper growl, which was nice. After driving it for about a month I noticed that sometimes it hesitated when I started it and sometimes at traffic lights. Now my Mini has only done 12,000 miles and I take great care of it. A few days later, trouble code P2177 (fuel/air mixture too lean) popped up. I clean the code with my tool and it comes back IMMEDIATELY which is because the problem exists and doesn't go away. After researching the problem for a few days, I found that it could "probably" be solved if I bought an air intake "rectifier" that would restrict the airflow to the motor. The biggest problem with this is that more money out of my pocket reduces the intake airflow to a point equal to or lower than the factory setting, reducing the power I "got" with the K&N tune and is lowered below the standard. .I do not recommend this product as it seems I am not the only person getting this error code installing K&N filters. Unfortunately this seems to happen across multiple makes/models, not just minis.
