Review on πŸ”Œ ACASIS 16 Port USB 3.0 Powered Hub with On/Off Switches - Efficient Data Splitter for Laptop, PC, and Mobile Devices by Jared Surabhi

Revainrating 4 out of 5

DAMAGED WINDOWS DRIVERS, DO NOT BUY, not recognized by Windows 10, Windows 7 and Linux Debian -

Devices are available again. Three (3) of my previously connected Seagate USB 3.0 8TB drives are no longer recognized due to corrupt Windows drives. THANK YOU ACASIS FOR THE DAMAGE AND DATA LOSS THAT I HAVE CAUSED. USB hubs should be the definition of plug and play. However, as two relatively new buyers pointed out, the 16-port version of this manufacturer's device is *not* plug and play, it's crap and should be avoided. The product was "Revain's Recommended" and I mistook it for reliable hardware. I tell myself that 500+ reviews and mostly positive ratings are for either devices with fewer ports or fake puppets. Reviews to boost sales before they're exposed, change the company name, and sell the same crap again. FTR, I bought a 16 port USB 3.0 device to replace a 7 port USB 3.0 hub that worked great, I just wanted more ports. This 1 year old 7 port USB 3.0 hub has been returned to its place and ready for return and refund after a 16 port junk removal.

Pros
  • Excellent Design
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
