Review on πŸ”’ 4 Pack of Recessed D-Ring Tiedowns with Backing Plate - 6,000 lb. Capacity by Charles Alvey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They are impressively strong and very good at falling out of the way

They are impressively strong and very good at falling out of the way. I have an 8' x 5' trailer with plywood decking that they were mounted on and the hardest part was finding stainless steel studs etc and a decent sized hole saw that didn't break the bank. In the end I used the base plate as a template, marked the deck and used a saber saw. The base plate was also great for drilling screw holes! Just make sure where you plan to place these anchors doesn't collide with the spacers or wires, luckily I thought of that just before I made the big mistake. The higher edge of the lining comes from the side of the loop as shown in the picture and the loop runs in the direction of the intended direction of belt tension for better durability. Ring fountains have drain holes to drain water! Nice gesture. I haven't had to tow my bike yet, but I've moved my lawnmower many hundreds of miles (get ratchet straps, buy once and be happy forever) with no problems. A little wood preservative (a little cuprinol used up) in the holes and cuts should help protect the deck from cuts.

Pros
  • Ties and Anchors
Cons
  • There are problems
