Review on Sashco Stretch High Performance Caulking Cartridge by Rick Ross

Big Stretch is Great

I've used this stuff everywhere, inside and out, in windows, doors, trim, trim etc and I've got nothing but good ones Things; matters. say about it. It works well and stretches more than other sealants I've tried. Some problem joints will tear it anyway, like butt joints, but Sashco says their products stick together, so if it tears you can put Big Stretch right back on it. I've found this to be true and subsequent uses have held up well. In terms of roll finish, this material is really smooth and easy to apply. One thing that never seems to be mentioned about sealants is taste. When you make a tool with your finger, after long projects the material often sticks to your finger even though you wipe off the excess, and you end up with a bad taste in your mouth. I think Big Stretch sticks to itself better than other sealants, so I've never had a problem with it. So it's easy and the tools are better, what does the finished product look like? That looks great. Big Stretch doesn't seem to sag as much as other sealers in joints that move a little. I actually tested this on a piece of siding that gets a lot of sun. I compared it to Dynaflex 230 and SW 950A. I checked out the joint in the morning and they all looked the same. I checked this later, after several hours of sunstroke in the siding. The Big Stretch looked the best of the three, the SW 950A had some flex but not too bad, and the Dynaflex looked really saggy.
