Review on 47861 Powermaster Alternator by Edwin Black

THIS IS GREAT! When I bought these I had a third "standard" alternator. Sometimes when stopping at a traffic light or stop sign, I could find that my headlights were dimmed due to lack of power. After I installed this alternator, even my wife says she sees no change in the idle/stop lights. Follow the instructions and use a thicker battery cable than the original. I used a spare battery cable for the job. It may be overkill but it was ready with the connections I needed. Just be sure to get a longer battery screw if needed (for a new cable). I've also noticed that my battery seems to stay hotter after I park my truck for a while. That's probably simply because the battery is much better maintained than it used to be. I actually had to "reclock" the case to fit my 1994 GMC K1500, but it turned out to be easier than I expected - follow the instructions!
