Bought to ship fish humanely. The bat (sometimes called the Salmon Priest) certainly works, but I didn't like the idea of our 9-year-old daughter (she has Down's disease and is all about LOVE) seeing me smack a fish on the head. So this tool is used discreetly on the boat to pierce a fish's brain (Ikejime was practicing in Japan. You know a thing or two about eating fish!). Haven't tried it yet and needed to print a photo of Fluke's brain (far from the eyes) but for $4 I'll give it a try. Instant killing and bleeding is a really necessary step in preparing one hell of a meal.
