This product does not match the description on the product page. It's easy to assemble, but doesn't expand to 36 inches. It stretches out to about 30 inches (I measured). And once deployed, it cannot be locked in the deployed position like some other similar products. There is some resistance before it folds back to its shorter length, but it doesn't lock into place at its full length. So if you PUSH snow off the roof of a car with it, it could easily fall back on itself. And the two ends snap together but can be easily removed. look elsewhere
