I bought this alternator for a 1998 Ford Explorer with a 4.0 "OHV" V6 engine. The stock alternator delivers 95 amps, this alternator has been upgraded to 135 amps. It looks like a very well built generator. I installed it in no time. It works great and always keeps my Explorer's alternator sensor right in the middle. If I run into any issues, I'll come back here to update this review. Please note this will NOT fit the 4.0 SOHC V6. Be sure to check the engine compartment before ordering to avoid the common assumption by Ford owners that only Ford made the "one" 4.0 V6.
