Happy with it

I'll start by not putting anything I terribly care about in a sketchbook :) For me, for ideas, noodles, research, etc., my main considerations are portability and durability for which it was an excellent choice. Hardcovers offer moderate protection (moderate because spiral binding means the pages move against each other and the corners aren't really protected), and it's nice not to have to worry about them bumping into or snagging on things like you do would do it with a good fabric. covers. The spiral binding means that the pages lie flat, which is another plus. Although this is a mixed media sketchbook, it probably won't hold up in very wet environments. I work with fairly dry watercolors (a lot of wetting) so it's fine but it warped and warped with acrylics too. Not to the point where it really bothers me and the versatility is worth it as I can also just paint in it and not feel like I'm wasting durable watercolor paper. Generally ink and paint hasn't leaked out so the backs can still be used, although some markers and paint markers seem to be a different story. In general I recommend!
