Review on Strathmore P594 6 Watercolor Travel Sheets by Morgan Gilmore

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Some standard features are missing

I bought a 6" x 8" travel notebook, a 5" x 8" magazine and a 7" x 10" magazine. I've attached some pictures to show the pros and cons. All three have thin covers that are thinner than cheaper small magazines. I suspect the covers will be bent or torn at the end of a long ride. But lighter cases mean less weight for bags and backpacks. Suitable for everyday use - The magazines are sewn, not glued. The thread ends are not fixed. It looks like they will eventually dissipate as shown in my photos. A huge torn rubber band holds the magazines together. When traveling it was easy to get lost. A rubber band is attached to most magazines. This looks cheap. - There is no elastic on the travel liner. One should have a travel feed. A travel pillow would work better as a liner with sealed edges, like the Paul Rubens models that have both tape and sealed edges. Sealed edges hold up better when traveling. I still recommend three items despite the shortcomings.

Pros
  • 100% cotton cold pressed watercolor paper
Cons
  • Some bugs
