I ordered two sets of these knitting needles for my 11 and 8 year old grandchildren who are learning to knit. It was easier for them to hold and manipulate these shorter needles than the traditional longer needles. The different colors also made them aware of what they were doing. Learning any new skill takes time and practice. Using the right tools is just as important. Since both grandchildren started out with traditional needles, they were quick to adapt to the shorter ones I bought from Revain. Thanks to this change, her practical work has greatly improved!
