It can stand up to our dog-shaped-alligator during play

About a month and a half ago we adopted what was then an 8 month old hound mix from the pound (now 10 months old). Within the first week she'd plowed through every soft toy we offered her - including actually /eating/ a limb off of one stuffed toy. After that we were at a loss of what to do - stuffed toys were her favorite, but we couldn't have her swallowing them.Enter Tuffy.I want to note beforehand that these toys are NOT chew toys. We do NOT leave our dog with them unsupervised, and take them away from her when she starts to gnaw on them.In terms of a play toy this is perfect. She can toss it around, rip it, chase it, squeak it. In the month or so we've had it it's only had minor damage to the fabric around the edges. The squeakers all still work, and no matter how hard she pulls on it in tug-of-war nary a hole has formed. She loves it and continues to find it interesting. Our only complaint is the size - our dog is 45 lbs (large side of medium) and it's HUGE for her. She can fit her head in the middle and wear it like a lion's mane. I'd love it if Tuffy made a variety of sizes for their mega line! (But, since we bought it knowing the size can't detract any stars. Just as a warning to people that this thing is BIG).

Pros
  • It's available in a variety of fun and colorful designs, so you can find the perfect one to suit your pup's personality
Cons
  • The TUFFY toy's flatness can cause issues with a dog's depth perception during play
