This little hub saved the day! I've tried many, MANY PS4 USB hubs, but none of them work with an external hard drive. HOWEVER, this works with PSVR and two wireless headsets that I own. BUT you must launch PSVR before turning on PS4 - in that order. Once the PSVR shows "No HDMI" and the "No USB" indicator is plugged into the goggles, THEN turn on the PS4. You can then turn your PSVR headset off and on as many times as you like and still get a properly working visual presentation from both your TV and the PSVR.Sound output. The only downside is that if you turn off/turn off your PS4 completely, you'll have to repeat the steps to get the PSVR goggles working again. Regular headsets will work without these steps, but the PSVR device will not. So now I have no problem using an external hard drive [directly plugged in] to either port on the PS4 as long as that hub works with a different USB. . As for the charge controllers, it will be. I use another separate device to charge my personal controllers, but you should have no problem using it for REGULAR Double Whammy Controllers. The Move Motion™ + Move Navigation™ controllers [in the PSVR family] are very finicky and will not charge on anything other than the PS4 system or EXCLUSIVELY external Sony® chargers that I have experienced in a long time. I did a lot of trial and error to get to this point. I really hope this helps! If so, then it was all for the good of *(the gaming community).
