I bought this for my son's PS4 Slim. It uses an external hard drive and a Sony Platinum wireless headset. Thus, two USB ports appeared (thanks to Sony). I bought a laptop cooler to raise and support the cooler for his PS4 and it is USB powered. I bought this so he can plug in his headset and cooler, not a hard drive. This little hub saved the day! I've tried many, MANY PS4 USB hubs, but none of them work with an external hard drive. HOWEVER, this works with PSVR and two wireless headsets that I own. BUT you must launch PSVR before turning on PS4 - in that order. Once the PSVR shows "No HDMI" and the "No USB" indicator is plugged into the goggles, THEN turn on the PS4.
