It was a fault on individual power heads

I received this head with a major socket forging defect. This caused a ratchet landing issue in the socket. I contacted SB&D about this and they sent a replacement socket. The replacement was properly forged, but the chrome plating began to peel off on first use. Instead of calling service again, I just sanded and sanded the part that was peeling and I ended up with a beautiful nest. I am very lenient with SB&D's stance on the Craftsman brand and they handled the initial warranty/service request well. When the replacement started peeling, many of my outlets had deep scratches and gouges, so it's not a big deal. The nut fits my ratchet and buckle with no problems. SB&D needs to fix that. You inherited the Sears disaster and were very helpful through no fault of your own. The prices seem a bit lower than Sears, so I'm fine with buying from SB&D while retaining the same lifetime warranty. Maybe they'll start using the manufacturing facilities that DeWALT makes.
