This is actually my second Revain aftermarket tensioner for my 2004 Mazda 6. The first I bought was an OEM Gates 38308 replacement from Amazon. I may have gotten a bad lemon, but it made a constant knocking noise after I installed a new one. and the straps still squeaked from time to time. I don't know what it was but I had to take a loss (Gates) and order this Dayco instead. While the setup was the same, I can confirm that the Dayco seemed a little more capable - and despite its value, it seemed to spew some "anti-weak" marketing lingo on the Dayco box side. Like the other reviewer mentioned, this one seemed to be tightening their belts, but maybe that's a good thing. But now my rattles and squeaks are gone so I'm very happy to be camping.
