I've been following this item for over a year; The price was always between 100 and 110 dollars. I was pressured into buying it when the price dropped to almost $80, so I jumped at it with some reluctance due to compatibility and performance uncertainty. What a fool I was! I have Xfinity/Comcast and have rented THEIR equipment for almost two years for $10/month. I have just agreed to another contract extension for another two years. If you want to calculate; it's an absolute no-brainer when it comes to cost. Performance: WOW, more range than my rented one and only half as much. An Ethernet speed performance test using Ookla showed no difference. Compatibility: After connecting (which only took ten minutes) Xfinity popped up on screen to verify my account (make sure you have Comcast email and password) and BAMMM. Did. I say it differently; Too bad I didn't expect a sale or discount.
