Review on NETGEAR Insight Long Range Management Warranty by Robin Williams

I've been using Netgear switches for over a dozen years. They've always been solid and reliable, although the web interface has always been a bit clunky. This is the first Netgear WAP I tried. I usually have U brand WAP. In my experience these things are superior to anything I've tried if you have some knowledge of network management. But I needed another WAP for an additional subnet, so I decided to save some money and get this one. First, the Insight interface is terribly slow, so I gave up on it and used the web interface. It's pretty easy to figure out, and it didn't take long. Good page? This thing is lightning fast - about 25% faster than my other WAP subnet with the same client size and load. This gives you the opportunity to use fast WiFi. Back? After three weeks of the first one, I got weird and couldn't recover. I hard reset the thing anyway. The indicators would show that it was nominally working, but its IP address (assuming it really was) could not be found no matter what tool I used. I'm not new to this sort of thing so I could only conclude that it had some kind of glitch. Checking the internet revealed at least one other report with similar symptoms, which after sending it back to Netgear identified itself as a dead module. excellent performance - I decided to try again. The second one was delivered the same day (thanks Revain!) and again it was easy to set up. My rating will remain at three stars until I see if this is more reliable.
