This worked well to widen some old door handle holes. The main problem wasn't apparent until I tried to take the thing apart. Since the hole saws screw into the base, you'll need to remove the inside first. However, since every time one of the saws makes a cut, it tightens more and more, unscrewing it will not be difficult. In my case, a maximum of 1/8" of the internal saw is exposed, meaning it's impossible to snag. Add to that two rows of sharp teeth and this thing seems impossible to remove. I haven't given up all hope yet, but I haven't moved in a few days. I'm starting to think that maybe Bosch didn't think this through. in a vise and with a BAPW (large pipe wrench). So it looks like I was wrong about having to unbolt the inner saw first. As it eventually fell apart I gave it another star because it did its job but barely. Still it took too much effort and I got the hell out of my crowns and hands.
