To replace the Michelin Energy Saver that came with the Ford Focus 3 rest, I purchased a new T005 package in size 205 55 16, and I used them for one summer season. As a result, I shall compare Turanza to worn-out tires in order to form my assessment. Turanza's stable performance on the tracks, both wet and dry, is a plus. This tire is fantastic for touring! On a flat road, you cannot grasp the wheel between 150 and 170; yet, around 200, the taxiing is quite clear and predictable (the Michelin's softer compound floated after 180). It's challenging to accomplish hydroplaning; perhaps it's a touch worn. The roundabout particularly forced the car into a water-filled rut in the left lane at 120 km/h: the tire pops up, of course, but the controllability to leap out of the rut is intact. The rubber's strength is the third crucial factor. Despite my careful driving, the disk managed to bend in the summer. The tire fit just right. Here, Turanza's benefits come to an end and its drawbacks start. 1) Stiffness. I researched reviews before choosing rubber, and several people claimed that T005 is considerably softer than T001. What sort of wooden should the first Turanza be, then? The suspension of the Focus is reasonably comfortable, but the tires have made the vehicle into a stool. Additionally, the car shakes after 120 km/h on federal highways where SMA is now being laid but is not being compacted with appropriate quality. It has nothing to do with the suspension or the balancing (I made sure to check both repeatedly, including after rolling the tires), but rather with the rubber's oakiness and the standard of the asphalt paving. 2) Tightness of the steering wheel at slow speeds in the zero zone. The amount of effort put into turning the steering wheel has grown as a result of yard maneuvering. 3) In turns, the tire sings early. On the BMW 218 test, where this rubber is factory-installed, the Drive. Ru journalist and I both made note of this. The tires speak up long before the Focus's suspension catches up, which I don't know if it's a failsafe (out of control alert) or a property of the rubber formula.
