Review on πŸš™ Dorman 970-069 Rear Center ABS Wheel Speed Sensor for Jeep Models: Superior Performance and Reliability by Bobby Blanton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's a great car with exceptional fuel economy and capable of anything.

We have a 2005 Liberty with a diesel engine. It's a great car with exceptional fuel economy that does everything we ask of it. The only annoyance for the first 140,000 miles was the electrical side of the ABS system. Because of the way the wires are routed to this sensor, which is located at the top of the rear differential, the wires have a tendency to break, causing the brake and ABS warning lights to come on and the odometer and pretty much that Turn off everything on the overhead console (from odometer, outside temperature, consumption calculator, etc.). I soldered a new connector to this sensor and then changed the sensor. The sensor was easy to install and the modest price was a good guarantee that we wouldn't have trouble with warning lights and broken gauges again on our next summer trip. Addition to my previous comment. It's an ABS sensor. If you need a connector that connects to the sensor, you have to buy the connector separately (Where? Search function will help you). To install a new connector, you need to cut out the old one, which is attached to the car wiring harness with two wires. It's important which wire connects to which side of the connector, so mark both before you cut out the old connector and solder in the new one. They are not color coded on my jeep.
