I really wanted to have these. Read reviews and watch installation videos before you buy. Installed on a 2021 Colorado with factory painted body liners. Easy to install and they look great. Thoughtful retractable hook. But at the end of the day, they don't stay tight. Minimal horizontal or lateral pull is required and they slip, slide, twist and disengage. Have reinstalled several times, taking extra care to ensure the metal plate is properly seated over the hole, screwed well and tightly, etc. Pulled straight they seem strong enough, but break easily with any lateral force. send her back
